ANDER RACE

BIO

Ander Carrera, professionally known as Ander Race, is a DJ, producer and engineer from the Basque Country, now based in Barcelona. He grew up in a small basque town, and the road from there to becoming one of the more consistent names in Barcelona’s nightlife shapes how he thinks about the name itself: Ander Race, built to travel as far as the music does.

With upcoming releases on Magnifik and a debut album on Ritmo Futuro, his catalogue also includes releases on Anims, W (Iconyc) and Urge To Dance. Support has come from Samm, Ajna, Nandu, Julya Karma, Yet More and Argia, among many more. His background at the piano still runs underneath all of it, the reason his productions carry a musical sense of structure rather than just weight, built to take a room somewhere rather than just hold it.

As a DJ, he’s built a steady presence across Barcelona’s clubs, playing Pacha, Boris, GSpot, Macarena and Negro y Rojo, and headlining the emblematic Superfekta. His reach extends across Europe and Latin America, with dates in London, Paris, Faro, Madrid, Bilbao and San Sebastian, and through Mexico City, Tulum, Monterrey and Guadalajara. He moves comfortably between intimate settings and peak time energy, playing sets with soul and taste that take a crowd through real ups and downs rather than a straight climb, and has shared the stage with Yet More, Josh Gigante and Rick Offen.

Alongside his own output, Ander works as A&R and Events Manager for Ritmo Futuro, a role that’s put him one on one with some of the scene’s biggest names and sharpened how he shapes his own sound, while continuing to build his own story from the booth outward.
