Barbossa is a Uruguayan DJ and producer, born and raised in a region deeply influenced by Afro-descendant communities, where the essence of Candombe—one of the purest African tribal rhythms of the colonial era—shaped his life from a very early age. This cultural environment, rich in drums, tradition, and identity, formed the foundation of his musical roots and his instinctive understanding of rhythm and energy.

After moving to Europe in 2004, Barbossa became fully immersed in Madrid’s electronic music scene. He later spent more than 10 years as a percussionist and resident DJ in Ibiza, one of the world’s most influential epicenters of electronic music, where he refined his style and connected with global audiences.
